I live on a small island in Canada...
It'd be nice to actually have some sort of event in Canada - maybe even in british columbia for once. lol

Hey, me too! Unfortunately I live at the opposite end from bc so wouldn't be able to attend. Actually, nothing good is ever very close to me![]()

I would like to point out my previous post was just pointing out the likes on the first post when I posted it trying to get more people to like xD

*raises hand* As a resident Torontonian, I and my family (who also plays FFXIV) would definitely attend a local FFXIV event. Fan Expo would be one of the best ones to have it at as it's one of the largest geek fests held in Canada.![]()
Please Yoshida? I'll bring maple candy!

... I'm not going to boring Toronto for that. Try Montreal

If they hosted a fan event in Toronto, I'd probably end up going to it.
Just beware of all the craptastical drivers in this city~

Yeah Canada!
Preferably in Toronto >.>.
Most likely will be in Montreal though cause they got offices there.
MTCC? They can fit the whole Toronto Auto Show, so I don't see why they couldn't fit a FFXIV event. Or go real big... SKYDOME!Toronto here and tbh, any event I have been to in any way tech related ended up being a glorified flee market. I can't even think of a facility that could handle a venue based games event here. I was working at a venue that hosted an Assassins Creed unveiling but they didn't chose us because we were optimal, we just happened to have the most floor space for the money and even then only a few hundred showed up. Something in the the three to five thousand, capacity range? There is nothing like that here.
One of my fond memories of visiting Vancouver was being asked if I'd like to buy heroin in front of my parents (in my teens) after the dude just finished his business deal.Vancouver City is scary. First time I went there, some creeper in a hoodie(hood pulled up over head/part of his face, sun glasses on, hands in pocket, hunched over...not suspicious at all...) stalked me down a few streets. I started down a side street that was less busy to get to my hotel, and when he came closer, I abruptly turned around and asked what he wanted. He ran off. Not sure what he was planning to do, but that was the last time I visited family there. Lol

Edmonton here! Although it already feels like winter is coming (lolz) so maybe don't host it here![]()
I would vote for Edmonton as well. The Convention Centre would be plenty big for a FFXIV festival. If that is too small, there is always Northlands. Edmonton never gets any love despite the fact that we host world class festivals and sporting events all the time.
For those worried about "winter". There are two seasons in Edmonton, winter and construction. Trust me, winter is better.
What part of "ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu
R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn" don't you understand?
