Let's Have A Final Fantasy Event in Canada

Just saw the headline on the login screen for the Final Fantasy event taking place at the PAX convention in Seattle, USA and it's cool to see more of these events taking place in more countries. But I would like to see one such event take place at a Canadian con, especially since I live on the opposite side of the NA continent from Seattle.

Hoping that next year (since it would be too late at this point for this year), that we can get a Final Fantasy event here in Canada at something like Fan Expo in Toronto or if they ever do another Final Fantasy Fest to add a Canadian city to the number of places that they had them last year, especially for those of us who live too far away from Las Vegas.

So to the Canadians out there, give this post a boost and encourage SE to bring a Final Fantasy event to a Canadian city!

Wouldn't be too bad. I grew up in Vic and went to school in Van, so my friends/family are all out there.

Toronto would be a good place to have a convention, Anime north (A huge convention center) assides here in canada and a lot of major events are here. It would be amazing to have it here at one of the convention centers. Some of the people in the USA that live close to canada would be able to attend as well to those who are too far from other USA events.

Recently went to A New World: Intimate Music from Final Fantasy hosted by Anime Evolution here in Vancouver, and it was great. I'm waiting for Distant Worlds to make a round back here, but all in all I would love to see more events happen in Canada. Toronto/Montreal would probably be best as far as venues go. Vancouver is pretty active as well, but expensive to travel to.

I will point out that I used to live in Halifax. Travel within Canada as a whole is stupidly expensive. I could pay $400 more on a round trip ticket and fly to Hong Kong, let alone Vancouver. Canada needs to get its in-country travel under control. I remember the days a ticket from Halifax to Toronto was around $150 on good deals, now it's closer to $300. Traveling from Van to TO is approximately $500-600, recalling my recent ticket purchase.
