For also those saying that machine doesn't have a video card... it does. AMD Radeon R7 240. It's a budget card but reports are it does very decently for its price point, and just about anything will be miles ahead of the intel 4000HD.

Would the system be able to handle a card upgrade when i have funds later on? just playing on this laptop is horrible at times ( curse you intel 4000) but i love the game. i am just hoping the newegg system is good enough to play with some good settings on with a high fps when doing lower end stuff like leveling and dungeons ( light and full party with effects (love the flasy stuff ^^)

Pretty sure im the only one that didnt see it... at first. I corrected myself in the very next post.
Hey Cherry, since our specs are similar can you tell me the FPS you experiance during different types of gameplay? (solo leveling, walking in town, dungeons exc.) that would be so helpfull
Its also worth noting that other things on your pc can cause your game to run poorly. My granddaughter also plays FFIV but she is 7. I bought her a nice system for Christmas last year and she already has a lot of crap on it. Her mom has to periodically give it a good cleaning to keep her games running.
Im planning on only using this for gaming purposes for FFXIV for now and use my laptop for my other things. i want this to run tip top.Its also worth noting that other things on your pc can cause your game to run poorly. Like before installing ffxiv on my laptop i did a total wipe just so nothing else would interfear but it still runs badly
I'm using laptop Asus A43SM with video card GT 630M and it's kinda lag horribly when you put refresh rate 1/1 or enable the effect, so I put it max 30 fps (refresh rate 1/2) and disable all effect from party and other. The result isn't bad, it gives constant 30 fps at town and raid.
Hello OP.. I work and build PC's for a living.. IMO, the pc u have listed to buy should play the game on normal settings, u may turn down a couple effects at best to get optimal performance in towns and heavy fighting areas.. Dungeons should run fine as the area is confined limiting the need for resources. If anyone else needs help post it in here, id be happy to assist. Im trying to start being more active in these forums..![]()
Also im not sure if a laptop is the only way you wish to go, but it is common knowledge that you can build or buy a desktop with much better performance for the same price.
