What is your current framerate? Mine is at a steady... 15 FPS, sometimes 20 on a good day.. in particularly crowded/effect heavy areas it drops to like. 4. (that really only gets that bad around hunts though).
I've turned off all effects save for my party, and even physics off for all but myself. I think I may have mostly low graphics settings. The only fight I really truly have trouble with is Titan (he and I have a hate/hate relationship). So it's not impossible to play. Looking at those specs though...no graphics card. If you're going out of your way to get a good gaming PC, splurge a little on a graphics card. (Also personally that HDD space is like...nothing... I would need a TB at least nowadays, but hey...)
(Will admit, I'd RATHER play on a nice system but hey. Work with what you got).
<__________< 20 FPS, wow. You're better off playing on a ps3 at that point.
Which, IMO tends to look better anyway in most cases. I don't quite get why SE seems to think that every movement anyone makes needs to be accompanied by huge swirling bursts of light. There are a few effects I kind of miss when they're turned off, but good riddance to most of them. (I turn them off just to avoid the distracting screen clutter that otherwise blocks my view of the fight. My PS4 could handle them just fine.)
(Sorry, I don't have anything more on-topic to add. That Newegg system looks decent enough in general, but I don't play this game on PC.)

even that small input is helpful to me, im really confused on how to tell whats good and whats not. Even more so if i can possible add/change to a better video card and add a SDD for my OS and GamesWhich, IMO tends to look better anyway in most cases. For also those saying that machine doesn't have a video card... it does. AMD Radeon R7 240. It's a budget card but reports are it does very decently for its price point, and just about anything will be miles ahead of the intel 4000HD.
Would the system be able to handle a card upgrade when i have funds later on? just playing on this laptop is horrible at times ( curse you intel 4000) but i love the game. i am just hoping the newegg system is good enough to play with some good settings on with a high fps when doing lower end stuff like leveling and dungeons ( light and full party with effects (love the flasy stuff ^^)

Pretty sure im the only one that didnt see it... at first. I corrected myself in the very next post.
Hey Cherry, since our specs are similar can you tell me the FPS you experiance during different types of gameplay? (solo leveling, walking in town, dungeons exc.) that would be so helpfull
Its also worth noting that other things on your pc can cause your game to run poorly. My granddaughter also plays FFIV but she is 7. I bought her a nice system for Christmas last year and she already has a lot of crap on it. Her mom has to periodically give it a good cleaning to keep her games running.
Im planning on only using this for gaming purposes for FFXIV for now and use my laptop for my other things. i want this to run tip top.Its also worth noting that other things on your pc can cause your game to run poorly.
