Second character login issues

So, I have two characters. Both connected to the same Square Enix account. Both created on the same server. My main connects to the server just fine, minimal lag issues. However, my alt character, which I was playing less than 12 hours hours ago, has suddenly decided to refuse to connect. Every time I try to log it on, I get the 90002 Error "Connection to the server has been lost."

I've tried restarting my computer and network to no effect. I looked into my account on Mog Station and, as far as I can tell, the character is active and should be functioning. It seems really odd that a connection issue could be so selective, but I've received no communications from Square Enix regarding issues with the account.

And after 3 hours of fighting with the game trying to log this character in, all it took was a new thread on the Technical Support forums and 30 seconds, and she works just fine now. I am both happy and annoyed...
