Well... if by soon you mean 'maybe next expansion'. When they talked about the jobs they picked for this one... it did sound like they're aware of the desire for red & blue mages, samurai, etc etc.

I would be concerned about it becoming a "mage du jour" situation like it is in the other MMO. ONE of the 3 possible specs there is always "stronger" so the pressure to play a spec you may not be comfortable with is a real barrier to end game play. I can tell you that in their equivalent of DF or PF, for world boss fights (40 mans against a single boss) I frequently get "declined" even though when I DO get accepted, I'm always in the top 5 in dps (AND the spec I play, the way they have configured it NOW, is more of a DoT/AoE class with a hugely RNG dependant cleave ability than single target).

Come to think of it, one would have to level any "other" Mages to 60 first, not the same as changing specs. Assuming one can only run the MSQ onc\e per character, one would need a different strat to level a different DoM (assume that be 5 mans, trials, beast dailies, FATEs).
