    Gathering global timers have to go... Personal Cooldowns for nodes.

    That every gatherer has to be on the same node at the same time for lore reasons make no sense at all. Not only that, really hurts how players distribute their game time, instead of this unspoiled node non-sense of global timers forced into the players using the eorzean day/night cycle.

    Just give each player a personal timer, so each player can go and gather when they want and not when the game wants them to, with a personal timer for those nodes in place, nothing can be abused since players will gather the exact same amount of items on the same time windows, only diference, now they will decide which time they do that.

    I would actually like this as currently if im farming scrips i pretty much can't do a dungeon for example because i'd likely miss the node. Like you said im forced to wait around usually until the node spawns.

    I have a feeling this would never happen though they seem quite steadfast when it comes to peserving the lore even if it means ruining the fun factor aka pvp gc restrictions.

    I know it is, but sometimes, lore driven mechanics are just bad. For example, in this particular case, lore is telling us, that some veins of ore are just accesible during particular times of the day... Which makes no sense. And, unspoiled mechanic in general, is one of the things that has kept many players away from gathering as a whole.

    Is very annoying to delay your game time in bits just because you can`t gather when you want but only when the game allows you.

    GW2 handles this with a 24 hour cooldown for the nodes of the rarest materials, each player decides when he goes for said nodes during those 24 hours. He can`t gather more than any other player, but he can decide when to do it. Considering the eorzean day is arround 70 minutes, just let players go for their nodes once each 70 minutes.

    I've been wanting this for a long time, but even more now that the new unspoiled nodes don't quite last one game hour. The current spawn times should be reset times instead.

    Agreed. No reason you shouldn't be able to gather on your own time while queued for duty without the fear of not timing it right or duty window popping early forcing you to withdraw or give up your node.

    Well, this would encourage botting a lot and actually help them. You actually don't know that doing this little change will make nodes 10-100x less valuable =)

    It would not make the nodes less valuable. You will still be limited to the same number of nodes and materials from them as before.

    Now, yes, it will reduce the price a bit because the gathering will become again a system that many and not just a few would be able to enjoy, which will only develop into a healthier market which more interactions since still, many of the consumers of these items will rather buy bulks for time/cost efficiency, while others will just gather. Things will be more accesible, yes. But numbers shouldn`t move too much since the materials will face the same restrictions as before.

    Unless you give every single timed item it's own individual cooldown timer then this would indeed make the nodes themselves less valuable. Hell even just giving them the timer as you explain will make items less valuable just by the fact that I can log in grab whatever darksteel I need instead of either waiting for the timer, or buying it from the marketboard. The timer in itself enforces the scarcity of the items more than the time between gathering attempts.

    Just as Blue scrips enforce scarcity of crafting items.
