The way I use it is keep all my main rotation stuff on the main bar, put cooldowns and other less-used skills on bar 8 for use with both triggers, then I've also activated two vertical hotbars and put them next to the crossbar and copy my long cooldowns there so I can easily see when they come off cooldown without switching bars.

Ever since I started using this system, my play is much more fluid and it's easier to react to stuff.
It is pretty fluid. I would like the option I listed earlier to be able to react even faster though since my finger would never leave the analog stick.

Ive seen you mention this twice so far and as someone who exclusively played melee dps in high end raid content for over a year I have to ask what part about holding in R2 or L2 makes you have to move your thumb from the analog stick?

Assign your attacks to the buttons. The Dpad for the buffs.

It's either move a finger on the hand controlling left analog or reaching over with the right hand. Even reaching over for buffs is less optimal than strictly analogs and face buttons.
