L1 isn't a blank button, On your mob/aggro list if you have more than 1 enemy, hold L1 and use the up and down on the the d-pad to select targets from that list, its alot easier than using left and right or L1,R1.

Thank you. I came in here to say this. The OP says that the L1 button is only for autorun. However as you have mentioned, it is also used in conjunction with up and down on the d-pad to select targets from the enmity list.
It is also used with left and right to select members of the other parties in your alliance if you're in PvP or a 24-man raid. The other function it has is for swapping target filters, so it actually has several uses.

That is fine. It could also still have autorun remappable and be an additional hotbar switch instead still.
That's the way I do it :
One main hotbar (#1), one extended hotbar (#7)
One additionnal hotbar (#2) for skills that I don't have to use really quick during combat (Like Protect).
When I use the toggle button, it only switch on 1 and 2.
And for jobs that have mutually exclusive skills, I make a macro to place the right skill on the right slot.
For example, in my Defiance macro, I'll assign Inner Beast and Steel Cyclone to two slots, and on my Deliverance macro, I assign Fell Cleave and Decimation to the same slots.
Same for SCH and SMN with the pet skills on the extended hotbar.
I would also like to see an option in this game where Developers can add a "Default" setting to cross bars, just to know how they think cross bars should work with all those abilities. Even return to a Default setting if a player so chose to do it. Or at least some templates.

Does anyone else use Xpadder? I find it very useful.
