    Horizontal screen tearing DX11

    Hello,

after being away for a couple months I have resubbed and discovered the DX11 button. I activated it and it looks great except for the frequent screen tearing. A transparent, horizontal line appears at the top or the middle of the screen and it starts moving down. The more I move my character and the camera, the more it happens. The most severe screen tearing I experienced during a cutscene, but it also gets pretty bad everywhere else.
I'm not usually too bothered by graphical glitches and low framerates because I used to have very outdated computer. But now I have a better one, one that can handle most new games at very high settings, and this particular graphical issue is driving me nuts.

I've been trying to solve this problem through google for a few days now and nothing seems to be working. I have tried forcing vsync (on) and tripple buffering in the nVidia Control Panel. I have tried turning both off in the nVidia Control Panel. I have tried putting the frame limiter to 60 fps in the in-game menu (in fact, this was the first thing I did when I changed to DX11). I have tried turning the frame limiter off. I have tried turning the frame limiter off, quitting the game, restarting the game, turning it to 60 fps again, quitting the game and finally restarting the game. I have tried playing with the other graphical settings.
I have also tried taking screenshots of the screen tearing in action, but every time it gives me a clean screenshot with no evidence of the issue, so I won't be posting screenshots.
[EDIT]: I experience no noticable screen tearing when using the DX9 version of this game.

All my drivers are up to date.
My monitor (Philips Meridian 241E1) is set at 1920x1080@60hz. My display setting in windows is set at 1920x1080@60hz. My game resolution is set at 1920x1080 with frame limiter on 60fps (1:1).

I think I've had this issue before in the past. Is Aero desktop enabled or disabled? I think I enabled it and the tearing went away.

Yes it was enabled. I tried disabling it just now and it didn't improve the tearing.

I switched from fullscreen to borderless windowed and it seems the screen tearing has disappeared! Very weird, I've been playing games fullscreen since 2005, never had this problem.
