There is a filter for it at the bottom of the emote menu screen or in your filter options.

To expand on this... there's 2 ways to turn it off. In your log, you can choose to have no emote messages displayed (from anyone). Click the gear next to the chat tabs, and then on the settings screen click on a tab name to adjust its settings.

If you're seeing other people's emote messages but not your own, then as Karate says, go to your emote screen and at the bottom of it there is a checkbox for showing log messages.
