    Any other tanks have this issue?

    Ok... this has happened to me like three times now. Most notably in the Alex (normal) run where you have the two Oppressors. It also happened in Bismark Ex.

    Whenever there's a mechanic where I have to provoke something, I'll hit the button, Provoke will go off, you'll see the little animation on the screen, but it won't actually provoke and I won't get aggro. The icon will also not show a cool down.

    Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

    provoke puts you at +1 of current highest enmity

    so is your complaint that provoke is malfunctioning or that your other tank is hitting your target when you have to taunt it?

    Shield Lob & then voke, have you tried that, also ya did the other tank still hit the target with his enmity combo? also maybe lag.

    Yes, I have had that problem. I find that if a target is moving towards me and I provoke them right as they're passing me, the act of the character having to rotate to see them cancels the provoke regardless if it appears to have gone off. The best way to avoid this in A1 is the have your back to the spot where .05 spawns and provoke him only when he's in front of your character.

    By 'icon will not show a cool down' do you mean your Provoke is still available - as if you didn't use it? I'm guessing you're just experiencing latency/lag during 0.5's entry animation or during Voke use.

    Animations and vfx are player-side, not server, so you could see yourself actually do the ability even during a lag spike, but once the spike ends and you catch back up with the server, the CD never actually registered. For a moment like using Provoke it'd be very noticeable.

    Most noticeable for me is when I experience this (occasionally) as DRG with Jump oGCDs. Lag spike whist weaving a Jump, resulting in a double-Jump that cost me some GCD delay. When it happens though I just like to think I'm lucky it wasn't a full 90k d/c.

    I have seen this with Provoke and random other abilities that will sort of partially fire, where their animations will play and it seems like they went off yet their effects aren't applied and the cooldowns isn't activated forcing me to use the ability again once I realize that it never went off.

    My guess is it is a goof with client to server communication where the client thinks you used the ability so it does all the "you activated X ability" stuff but the server never receives that info so the effects are never applied or it resets at the next server tick.

    I think this is due to a mob moving out of range just as the provoke happens. Your client starts playing the provoke animation but the server sends back a "lol, nope, out of range!" message and it cancels.

    Only way to get round it is to provoke sooner/closer, or hope you dont have high latency.

    Yeah, I think what you experienced is a packet loss (latency issue) where the game client shows you used provoke but on the server side Provoke wasn't used. The most common class to suffer this is Ninja with its Mudra lag.

    Either that or the boss passed through you and your provoke didn't register because on server side the boss was already behind you.

    My provoke is macro'd to throw a tomahawk right after. You need to do more than just provoke to secure aggro. A couple of problems I've had with it lately have been lag and the mob moving out of range.
