That is ridiculous just to get a set of PvP gear with the stats you need to PvP.

Hey, I found the misconception! PVP gear is absolutely not needed to PVP. Gear is the absolute last factor in what makes for a good PVPer.

The number one thing is having good tactics. Knowing when to pull out of encounters and when to push are key to winning matches.

Number two is individual fighting skill. Knowing which abilities to use and when to use them so that you can survive encounters and kill enemies.

Last is gear. Having good stats does make a minor difference, but the PVP gear often doesn't even have the best stats for PVP. At the very least, you can easily be a competitive PVPer with just Law gear.

The main purpose of the PVP gear is to be a status symbol for the people that worked their asses off to earn the ranks to equip that gear. It's not about the stats on the gear, it's about the time and effort put in to use it.

Ranks are horrible in this game with no conceivable way of earning them in a timely frame. I've been pvping every day for the past 7 weeks and i'm only rank 18 and the rank system keeps climbing up, and this is all just to wear ilvl 180 gear that I already have ilvl 200-190. I am sure some masochistic character will play every day for 20 hours a day PvPing to earn these ranks, but i'm not willing to do that.

Honestly, the rank system in this game is one of the most horrible systems i've ever seen. At least let us glamour the gear.

Might as well rename the description:

"Cannot equip until next year."

If it was ilvl 200 gear I would understand the serious requirement. However currently its way beyond anything for mostly appearance gear. Its a rant, take it how you like it.

Gear, ranks? the important is fun battles, hunt healers, hunt bards... hunt and kill! enjoy the kills! follow ypour prey and catch it!! pure adrenaline! more damage will be the better ^^U well is not the theme here... just enjoy with the depradation be a hunter and kill the enemies when they try to scape you! and when they are nearly to be saved... ZAS kill them! the glorious sense... unpredictible oponents and preys, killing or be killed, this is the awesome thing of pvp and for what i love it!

Remove the gc's, not the ranks.

For the sake of queue times. The only time there's games popping up in less than 10 minutes is in the evening/night.

As to op, rank 18 takes like couple evenings. 1-2 games a day is hardly a grind with your pace.

Square has already thrown you a bone with removing the rank requirements on last year's gear. Completely trivializing and taking the fun out of ranking up right until 45+.

You can either put in the blood sweat and tears and grind you way up to rank 50 or if you're really just wanting the outfits for RP then you can wait for Square to give you another handout. Do you demand being given raid gear without putting in the time too?
