I don't care with current pvp gear, they're plain and don't have unique as animal set. I spend all my seal for ilv110 weapon and some ilv100 gear.
That isn't why i'm complaining fully. Here is the deal.
The current level 60 gear, is locked behind rank. Which is a ton (a ton) of matches. Each match is about 15 minutes. So to grind to max rank to even use the gear that is 5250 minutes, which does not include the wait you actually have to sit through (YES EVEN IN ADDERS!) to get into PvP.
87.5 hours, plus probably more of straight grinding. That is ridiculous just to get a set of PvP gear with the stats you need to PvP.
What they should of done, is remove rank requirements off gear. Made ranking system actually give you things like:
"PvP Skills"
"PvP Titles: The Destroyer, High General, ect ect."
"PvP Mounts, or Saddles"
However, it is currently ridiculous. You get way more tokens then your ever going to need to get the rank to even use the gear.
I only hope that this is temporary until the next PvP ilvl 210 set comes out.
And for the set before that you had to do the same thing to rank 45, but now all you need to do is AFK in matches and you get it for free
also the next gear set will probably be locked behind ranked match performance, not character pvp rank
also the pvp sets have never been the optimal gear to use after morale was changed as a whole, if you want BiS gear you need to mix and match pve gear aswell, including i148 in some cases

Gear, ranks? the important is fun battles, hunt healers, hunt bards... hunt and kill! enjoy the kills! follow ypour prey and catch it!! pure adrenaline! more damage will be the better ^^U well is not the theme here... just enjoy with the depradation be a hunter and kill the enemies when they try to scape you! and when they are nearly to be saved... ZAS kill them! the glorious sense... unpredictible oponents and preys, killing or be killed, this is the awesome thing of pvp and for what i love it!
lllllllll
Hey, I found the misconception! PVP gear is absolutely not needed to PVP. Gear is the absolute last factor in what makes for a good PVPer.
The number one thing is having good tactics. Knowing when to pull out of encounters and when to push are key to winning matches.
Number two is individual fighting skill. Knowing which abilities to use and when to use them so that you can survive encounters and kill enemies.
Last is gear. Having good stats does make a minor difference, but the PVP gear often doesn't even have the best stats for PVP. At the very least, you can easily be a competitive PVPer with just Law gear.
The main purpose of the PVP gear is to be a status symbol for the people that worked their asses off to earn the ranks to equip that gear. It's not about the stats on the gear, it's about the time and effort put in to use it.

Square has already thrown you a bone with removing the rank requirements on last year's gear. Completely trivializing and taking the fun out of ranking up right until 45+.
You can either put in the blood sweat and tears and grind you way up to rank 50 or if you're really just wanting the outfits for RP then you can wait for Square to give you another handout. Do you demand being given raid gear without putting in the time too?

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME
When you rank up you get points to enhance skills, I think you have no idea what you're doing. I hope they never release rank requirements on gear again so it keeps people like you out.
