No. Just no. They wouldn't remove PvE ranks (levels) just because someone new wants to be lvl60 NOW!
Honestly, there's so much about this game that you seem to hate I'm really amazed you keep playing!

If you just want it for vanity then wait for the next expansion. Rank requirements will be removed then.
Rank 1-31 in a week of PvP on Aether Adder's. Extremely easy and fun. No Thanks I'd rather keep the ranks.
Suggestion since you are Aether. Switch to adders, pick one do one, and join the good adders pvp linkshell on balmung. Of course it looks bad spread out over multiple characters.
If they removed the ranks, they would just up the cost and lower the marks you get. They will always have ways to make it fair. Ranks just give a sense of accomplishment instead of getting 5 marks per win and needing 2000 marks. Both accomplish the same thing most consider one to be enjoyable and the other grinding.
Also when you see old pvpers complain about ranks it is about GC switching. I have leveled two grand companies to the cap at 45. It is a little sad when you switch and get locked out of all your gear.

We have a phrase for this kind of topic back home in my native tongue, we call it...
"Sounds like a personal problem, OP!"

People are willing to grind thousands of games.
Well, I guess I will wait till next year. >_<
I am just not hardcore enough for PvP it seems by the posts.

Please be advised that these all display worst case scenarios, do not factor in daily bonuses and do not factor in weekly challanges
If you only play one match a day and lose every single match, you will average out at roughly 700 xp a match thanks to loss bonuses and daily roulette
Thanks to this, you will go from rank 0 to rank 50 in 324 matches AT THE MOST, this is ignoring the weekly challanges and is still 1/3rd what you think you need
345 matches? .... ntyThank you for linking to my sheet

so you complained that in 7 weeks you werent max rank because you were doing less than 1 match a day and you feel thats more than enough to be entitled to max rank
then you complained that its because you have 2 characters, one being unnecessary, basically complaining that your choice is slowing you down
then you complained that it would take 1000 matches, which isnt taking into account any of the roulettes and challange bonuses
then you complained it would take 345 matches at the absolute maximum if you literally queues and did nothing all match every match, which if you actually did some sort of grind you can easily accomplish this within 1 month, almost on par with people grinding alex savage (which requires grinding for gear even to attempt)
maybe you should look for another game if you dont like grind, ff14 is literally grind: the game
whats next, the ranking comes out and you want to be top spot because you won a single game?

Yeah.... no sympathy. If you want max rank you're gonna have to put in the time.
