Your overall performance seems good to me. I have changed to adders (Yes I am on CHAOS too) few days ago and I don't regret it even with less wins compared to the time when I was with flames mainly due to the insane fast queues.

I wish I had this guy's post count...How can I manage that..

Is it reset Tuesday yet.
I question whether I'm playing a PvE game with PvP mixed in, or I am I playing a PfG.
While ranks should not go away,it's the only progression we have besides achievements, and it's not a bad system, the grind is just way too large as it stands right now.
If you have a perfectly distributed winrate it would take 584 matches (*) just to get to 46 , which is the rank you can start using the current left-side gear.
That's just insane and completely unreasonable for new players and this is not the way we can get the pvp community to grow.
The grind needs to be heavily compressed for at least the rank 1 through 35 period so that it doesn't take more than 150-200 matches to get to rank 46 or so. It would be specially atrocious if they made the gear relevant again and people had to go through this grind to get it..
I'm my opinion it should go even further if they made the gear relevant again, the gear rank requirement should be more spread out through all the ranks we have say something like accessories at 25, boots and belt at 30 and so on. There's no point in having people go through that insane grind just to get the first current piece, it's specially ironic how the grind from 45-50 isn't even that harsh compared to 1-45. This way people would get some extra motivation as they go and possibly play more.
* - yes log and roulette reduces this somewhat depending on how much you play but the log is basically useless until the upper ranks and 1 free win per day doesn't make the grind reasonable either

I don't think the ranks should be removed, but I think it's rather strange that they weren't reset in some fashion when the expansion dropped. You don't have to have done BCOB, SCOB, and FCOB to start Alexander (Savage) and get that raid gear, but you do essentially have to work your way through all the previous expansion's PvP ranks to get the new PvP gear.
There should also probably be some sort of gear (maybe i150 or i160) that's level 60 and doesn't have a rank requirement, so people can actually get something for their efforts while grinding out the several hundred matches they need.

Making it i170 +20 moral would have been a good way to prepare for WD update. Newer players who wanted to take it seriously would have had a gear set to go and play with, and for people farming their way to 50, something to actually spend their marks on that they can use rather than holding 2-4 sets of i180 gear for a couple of months lol
Hell, maybe that would even offer an additional incentive to esocasuals to play and give it a legit shot.

I'm relatively casual about PvP here and while I want the gear eventually, I don't enjoy it enough to really do more than my roulette most days. (I have a lot of complaints about the set up, but I used to PvP almost exclusively for much of WoW, so I still get the itch pretty often). But the sheer number of ranks before I can really get any PvP gear is pretty discouraging. I'm rank 27, plus or minus a rank or two, and I still have a long way to go really). It doesn't help that queue times for my GC are awful, of course.
I agree completely. Its a long uphill march to the i180 gear, and new players who might otherwise be legit interested in pvp might get put off. I fully support a second set of gear being put in to keep players interested while they grind slowly towards 50. Even better if it could be useful in level 60 WD, since I fear WD might be a very new player unfriendly experience.
I do think that there needs to be an incentive to new pvpers, or we risk stagnating, and queues are already lackluster for a lot of players.

That's why I think it's so strange they didn't reset rank in some fashion, really. If this becomes a pattern, then by the end of Heavensward, we won't be talking about a 50-rank mountain: it'll be a ~75-rank one that's growing. That's incredibly unfriendly. Even if they make a point to put in starter gear, it's going to at some point feel insurmountable to anyone who hasn't kept up with the ranks.
