They said they're not working on harder modes of existing primals (I suppose that includes all trials too), better to invest that time into new primals. They could bring the normal mode, but I don't see how you'd get people to do it.

I guess that really depends on if they are going to actually give us new primals or just throw in a couple dungeons and call it a day. I would much rather have Extreme versions of existing trials like Gilgamesh, Chrysalis, Steps of Faith, 12 Knights, Dragon Neck then to get nothing at all. Give us small rewards like accessories, big chunks of esoterics, or something else to make it worthwhile.

Why wouldn't they, didn't we get them every major content patch during 2.x? I can seem them lowering the amount of dungeons from 2 to 3, but removing primals altogether? I'd love to have an extreme mode for The Singularity Reactor though, I don't see that being out of the picture as it was only introduced in 3.0.


there is only 1 way people will do this trial! As a group! Clear STOF EX 2,000 times with a total of 2,000,000 victories across all servers to bring back Haurchefant! I will gladly do this!



Not gonna lie, it was a fun fight if you got into a group that could coordinate well. That wasn't always the case though.

The downside was, if you knew you were going to fail, you had to wait it out.
In truth, offering a mount or some kind of glamor item as a potential drop from steps to fix the main issue (everyone jumping ship when it came up in trial roulette). There was no motivation to ever do it again after your first victory, and a failure on that particular trial could still take upwards of twenty minutes before a reset. It was just too much wasted time for no reward whatsoever


The original wasn't even difficult though? Certainly not as difficult as an extreme primal at least. You just had to shoot cannons, virus when he's beating on the doors, and not miss a dragon killer.
Believe it or not, people still instant leave this if they are in it.
So no, leave it alone and not make it even harder for people to complete their main story quest.
I rather get new content instead always getting "X but HARDER!"
