Okay I'm gonna repeat this 1 more time for those who are having problems leveling. Fight enemies no higher then 5 levels above you.
Actually, better yet fight enemies 1 level above you. You should get like 350 XP if not you not fighting the right stuff...link chain it = 500 XP per kill up to 700 if you do it properly. This is solo experience...if you party you can get 1000+ per kill.
Prepatch we were killing thing 5 levels above us for barely 200 XP. So just 1 level higher then you the enemy is easy cakes and gives more experience. Not sure why you all complaining...
They have reworked the field maps to definitely help with progression of leveling. I moved around some map areas to see mobs...and they transitioned them very nice from one level area to the next. There should be no problems with this.
This is exactly the point I was making on the last page, before someone came along and raged that I was wrong. If you were fighting an even-level mob pre-1.19, your xp would have been...75-150. Now, mobs that are three levels below you, give this amount.Okay I'm gonna repeat this 1 more time for those who are having problems leveling. Fight enemies no higher then 5 levels above you.

"You don't stop playing when you get old, you get old when you stop playing!"
Punctuation is your friend. It deliniates the difference between "Let's eat, Grandma!" and "Let's eat Grandma!"
i stopped by Shposhae and can chain link blacks bats up to 2 chains. thx for the tips guys!
btw: they don't seem to link in solo, but they do in pt.

Yep. They link based on the strength of the attacking party. So if you are solo and the same level as the mob, it wont call for help.
When all else fails, Heck the Bed.
@ lv 15 the black bats lv 15 give 150xp for solo, 180 (+20%) on chain 1, and 187 (+25%) on chain 2.
at lvl 15 pug fighting lv 16 puk is 181 xp solo

where are the 300 xp+ mobs?
I think it got worse.
Before the patch I got like..300 exp from mobs about 9-10 lvls above me.
But I could fight a few before I had to rest, I often didn't even have to rest at all.
Now I die when I try to fight mobs 10-15 lvls BELOW me.
And if I manage to kill one, I get 30-40 exp.
Something is wrong with this..?!
Maybe all those players with all their classes at rank 50 didn't notice, but I don't even have half of the HP left I had before the patch.
And as an AoE tank my main attribute is INT?
I'm not even wondering anymore why I die after the second hit of a monster 12 lvl below me.
With this, the reason is obvious.
Don't get me wrong, I love the patch, there's a lot of fun and interesting stuff to do.
But really, I'd still like to be able to lvl up, and that became pretty much impossible.
Start a Duo or Trio, you should beable to make half decent XP that way.
If you're talking about Conj/Thm, have you considered equipping a shield? (Not trying to be sarcastic or a jerk. If you're dying in two hits, a shield can reduce a ton of damage you might otherwise suffer.)Maybe all those players with all their classes at rank 50 didn't notice, but I don't even have half of the HP left I had before the patch.

The other option is to try a different type of mob, or a different type of attack. Different mobs are weak to different types of attacks. For example, coblyns are weak to piercing damage, and are weak against water spells. So you can try changing the type of mob you're fighting, or use different tactics.
But if a mob 12 levels below you is killing you in two hits, then that's not a problem most players seem to have. Consider upgrading your armor, or switching your current armor for stuff that offers more defense/Vitality.
