I think a dummy parser is great. Being on PS4, I don't have access to one. If you are in a static, 99.9% of the time someone will have one in raid, so that's not an issue.

But the problem lies when not in raid. Practicing new rotations, openers, when to use and/or effectively weave cooldowns is part of the fun of learning a new job or new abilities. Especially for the theory crafters that are experimenting with different things. If I had a dummy parse, I would sit there for hours trying every combination I could think of to maximise my dps, and I can't ask a static member to sit and parse me for that length if time. So I'm all for this.
