Honestly, if this is SE's response for a parser, then we can expect this game to get a lot more toxic. I'm not sure if I'll want to play that game.

More unsubstantiated nonsense. Can you prove this claim? As it sits now there are already a large part of the community that uses parsers, and their is another part of the community that cannot due to playing on a console. If you don't want to use the battle dummy parser then you don't have to. If you think people aren't already parsing you judging your performance you are kidding yourself. Fear mongering something because you don't want to use it personally is a selfish idea. This community is already toxic from selfish individuals trying to deprive players who want to get better the tolls to do so.

If people cannot see your DPS in a fight, then they will have PF posts such as "Must have 1200 DPS on Dummy, screenshot required!" and then other people will join that lying saying they have it and will photoshop their dps or something. Then they'll go in people will die, and people will rage etc. Anyway, I don't know if this will exactly happen. However, I strongly believe this will lead to more toxicity than an actual parser.
I think you completely misunderstood my comment, and I'm sorry for not being clear. I am not against the idea of testing myself or parsers. I just think this implementation is a horrible idea.
Well, some of it might, if things like dodging out of the way throws the player off their stride too much. It's why I like Kayote's suggestion:
So, learn to keep up your damage rotations while also having to maneuver, and get a score that shows both how effectively you could dodge and how good your DPS was while doing so.
Once a player can dodge while keeping up their DPS, they should be in a good position to be able to handle mechanics as well, so then it's just a matter of learning what the specific mechanics for a fight are.

I'm not sure how I feel about a parser given how easy it is to get walled in this game because of a need to rely on a somewhat bi-polar community.
Like would you fault the guy pumping out the lowest DPS just because he isn't packing Law gear in Alex?

It's literally only on training dummies. Training dummies exist for the sole purpose of practicing, and having it show your damage dealt only accentuates that idea. Regardless of them doing this or not, anyone who's serious in this game will just go to 3rd party programs to achieve the same thing. This just gives console players the means to evaluate themselves.
