I've been at the rut for a while now.
But.....Witcher 3 new game+ is out! So who cares! That'll keep me entertained for a while to make up for FFXIV being meh now ;D

Hopefully with more post like this one, Square Enix will get a clue that copy/paste 2.0 on 3.0 had an effect on how boring this game is beginning to be.. and will react accordingly.
Unlocking all these Aether Currents on a bigger map than 2.0, where you can use your chocobo, feels the same when we had no chocobo and only sprint.
Plus these Side quests that maybe 5% of the population actually take the time to read, makes you do the same than 2.0, go fetch X, kill 3 or 5! (wow) of X monsters..
Make these side quests out, and give more XP to the main story, which at least is good to follow.. whew!
Yeah after your main character to 60, the grind will become evident.
Just like Korean MMOs lol
I've heard that he expressed F2P, well.. I would not be happy with it, but if you lose lot's of subs bec everyone is burned out doing the same stuff everyday, that should give you plenty of hints to do something about it.
Hope this game will see 4.0 with a renewed sense of vigor!
*Since you might be reading this:
- Can we get another cross-class skill slot at 60? Would be nice and following what you did before (1 per 10 lvl for Jobs) would make sense.
- or Can you make a special quest line to get Cross-Class skills from another job unrelated to the 2 we have? Like BLM lvl 26 Swiftcast, as a PLD, to be able to Raise someone would make me feel like a Crusader!
- How about 'Advanced jobs' ? You won't have to make any current changes to the jobs now, only to add some more skills or to link another sub-job to it!
- Ever planned to do some Spell Materia? We Could equip those and then be able to Fire 1, even as WHM? That would be cool.à
Some don't mind to grind, some will say: it's an MMO..
I've been playing MMOs for years; doesn't make it so that they cannot go outside the box and do something that the players wants, and not a rehash of the same old.. just like movie remakes, or no innovation and going back with the 70' 80' for clothes.. sigh..
Please make it so we don't switch to another game. *Prays hard that 3.1, 3.5 will bring something fresh!
Thanks for reading, long live Final Fantasy 14!

Yep. Pretty bored if it's not a raid night. WoW could keep me logged in everyday for years. In XIV, I (maybe) log in, do roulette (sometimes not even that), decide Netflix/HBOnow is better than standing around Idyllshire, and log out.
I make sure to cap Eso, but I sure wish I could do meaningful content as an alt class and/or there was more of that than just Alex savage.
Oh well. Time to just play 2 MMOs at once I guess.
Q20: Will we ever be able to send tells from within an instanced area?
A20: While the feature can be implemented, it’s currently masked. It’s currently masked because we would like to prevent players from harassing each other just because they know they would never party together in the future. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully as we move forward.

This fact became extremely in-your-face obvious with the expansion, for reasons I don't really understand. I mean, I did the whole tome grind 100% when 2.4 hit and I felt like it was totally worth it despite not starting FCoB until late November. This time around I just feel like there is no incentive to gear up a third time this patch (law -> protogordian -> eso) when all content in 3.1 will be easily doable with law gear for everyone who's not a potato. I realise this is exactly the same as it's always been but maybe the sheer amount of content in Heavensward makes going back to this system really harsh.![]()
I play other games on the side, maybe you should take a break from FFXIV and come back when 3.1 hits?
Right now I do the roulettes to level my classes and do some pvp. When I am done with those things, I play Witcher 3.

yea daily routine consists of log in check retainers, put company buffs up, do roulettes, check retainers again log out.

Haven't even bought the expansion. I've got enough dungeons to que for randomly when bored. Only really fun I have in this game atm is the larger raids that are difficult. Syrcus tower isn't difficult but still fun... World of darkness funnest dungeon in the game atm... imo anyway.
I don't care to be the first to get something so I don't even see a reason to get the expansion right now.
Yep, I just log in, do some PvP, maybe some roulettes, chat it up with some FC mates for a bit, then log off. Do the same for 3-5 days until I'm capped, and then log on for my daily cactpot and log off quickly enough. I'd level some other classes, but I find leveling dreadfully boring, just not for me. Wish they'd have introduced the relic in 3.05 so I'd have something to do.

Just been playing Skyrim.

no rut yet for me. Im still interested in doing quite a few things so honestly im good:
1. eso cap
2. level AST
3. Chocobo racing
4. fix up my house
5. Zodiac weapon.
6. Level that damn chocoboo
I barely do any of these effective in one week, but i prioritize 1 and 2 and teh rest i just jump in and out of.
