Thread: *SPOILERS!* A roadmap from 3.1 to 4.0

This is just a check list of open plot points that haven't been resolved and may feature in future patches.

Estinihawg is still on the loose. He will need to be dealt with(again).

The Garleans still have a presence in Azys Lla. Regula makes a return?

There still Scion members missing. They should be found? Or not.

The Warrior of Darkness makes an appearance.

Abelethia's Spine still has no "ground" zone.

Possible 4.0 material:

Ala Mihgo and Garlemald are the only shrouded areas left on the map.

What are y'all's thoughts on the future?

The Garleans don't just have a presence on Azys Lla, they're flying in soldiers from Garlemald. Until Estinidhogg makes a move, that's probably the most pressing threat.

I would love an airship assault raid, kind of like the Bahamut or Leviathan areas from FFXII.

I think there's a fair chance of a raid on the Gration. I don't want another CT-style three-raid in the same area though - it'd feel tedious.

I'm very interested in everything related to Ala Mhigo, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen until 4.0 proper. There's still unresolved things in Ul'Dah, and Omega is still in the ground (which may be for the best for now).

Guessing first thing to do is battle Nidhogg/Estinien and free/kill the Azure Dragoon, then fight the Garleans in Azyz Lla and deliver some measure of lasting security to the Ishgardians.

Isn't the Gration actually stuck in Azys Lla at the moment, due to the Ceruleum tanks being frozen?

I kinda hope we don't kill Regula or the big e off nor kill their airship as that will regulate the Garleans to a not so scary threat where we the champions just breeze through their ground forces.

There's a few other unresolved elements you missed:

-The whereabouts of the other two Great Wyrms.
-What Midgardsormr was guarding at Lake Silvertear.
-The history of Azys Lla.
-The causes of the Fifth and Sixth umbral calamities.
-Ilberd, Yuyuhase, and Laurentius are still at large.
-Lolorito needs to be punched in the face.
-Why do the Ascians want Hydaelyn dead so badly

Somehow Ysayle will play a role in Estinien/Nidhogg's plight, I'm sure. She won't be around physically but she'll be around in some way, I think, because Echo.

I also have this bone aching theory that I've mentioned many times on these forums that Haurchefant is going to pop back up. That death was too purposefully heartwrenching. Something about his demise will come up.... Ixion, maybe, or Asciian possession or a few number of other things. (Hopefully it won't be that he never actually died in our arms. He has Missing Corpse Syndrome and I swear to Hydaelyn if they play the Nanamo card again I'll seethe)

In the long run I think Ilberd will be sliding back into the limelight to start coaxing us into an expansion dealing with Garlemald and Ala Mihgo. Garlemald is also poised to become a direct threat to Ishgard at this point, which could be interesting. I don't want to see the 2.0 story beats repeated but dealing with Garlemald AND the Dravanian Horde? Hm...
