Turning on "Truth of the Forest" is really annoying.

Two minutes left on an unspoiled node and I'm racing against the clock to get there but the node doesn't show up any where on my map even though I know exactly where it is. That's because I forgot to turn on Truth of the Forest. So I get off my mount, turn it on, then get back on my mount wasting precious time. Why do I have to do this?

Every time I switch jobs to botanist I have to flip this back on.

Can't this be a passive like Tree Whisperer? Or at least have it saved like Sword Oath/Defiance. There's no reason for it to ever be off.

Make a macro, that when you change your gearset, you automatically activate the buff. Works like a charm

Great idea! Is there a way to assign the "botanist / miner" icon to the macro? I currently have all my gearset changes on shared hotbars using the gearset icons.

This should work, though you might need to play around with the syntax - I'm not at my home computer so I can't check how I've got my macro set up.

This would be a great QoL change! But, for now, you can get around it with macros.

What I do is have macros like that for all three DoL jobs, and the Truth skills crossclassed to all three, such that when I hit the macro, it activates both Truths automatically. If I switch classes while mounted, when I land, I can hit the macro for the class I currently am and it'll turn both on for me with one button press.

My macros are all like:
/micon "Botanist" classjob
/gearset change 31 <wait.1>
/ac "Truth of Forests" <wait.1>
/ac "Truth of Mountains"

I often find myself running up to a node only to find that I'm the wrong class since both turn on for all three classes, but thankfully, if you switch from one DoL to another, your GP remains the same. Just remember to turn Collectors Glove and Stealth back on!

Honestly, it'd be enough to just enable the ability to turn Truths on and off without having to dismount first. We have other gatherer abilities we can use while mounted - why not this one?
