I bet for lower levels it's a luxury item, unless you can convert the materia yourself by playing.
Like having +2 equips in Dunes.
Patriot's Choker adds +1 Spiritbond rate. +1 to what??? Anyone have any idea what the base is on this?
Possibly similar to the +1, +2, etc. on equipment, where it added a small percentage boost to the stat, and here it would add a percentage boost to each 'hidden' xp gain for spiritbond? Or adds a flat rate increase per kill?

Punctuation is your friend. It deliniates the difference between "Let's eat, Grandma!" and "Let's eat Grandma!"
200,000 exp isn't even a lot at level 50. If you have a good party and you're exp chaining, you could be done in a few hours.
It also seems that you get a message when your spiritbond is complete...yay. Just had two pieces pop up while I was crafting.

I can only speak for dated gear, my current setup for crafting on Weaver L44 is:
Velv.. wedge cap R40
Velv.. gown R34
Linen shortgloves R50 and Velv. shortgloves R40
Velv. tights R36
Ash pattens R34
Velv.. half-apron R40
Every one of the R40 pieces, including my needle are sitting at 80-100% spiritbind after three and a half hours. The R34 and 36 are only about halfway done. I'm not sure if someone else discovered this yet, but it would seem that level difference is another factor in how fast the equipment completes the spiritbinding process. There was also another member of my LS who was using all R1 gear, and noticed that by R12, his binding bars had only moved by about 25%.
