I think that the fact it's a large amount of xp is refreshing... I'm glad it doesn't just fill up with a couple of fights. It really does serve as an attachment to your character. And thus will make materia all the more valuable. I'm really looking forward to getting some materia in the coming few days.

nope, the lower level it is, the easier it is to convert

and you convert EVERY pice you got a you go up, so think of that factor too


it looks to average 2 ranks of exp to do them(also think of the fact youll want to put it on lower gear for other jobs you may do too since its all required level gear now)

Aye, I understood that much, and it will help for transitional equipment no doubt, especially when it comes to other classes. But at the lower levels, it would seem relatively pointless to meld (since you blaze through), unless you're leveling multiple classes at a time that are lowbies as well.

It's not such a bad idea even at lower levels... I think SOME materia is going to end up being pretty cheap, no reason not to throw those into the r30 gear you have.

You're likely right. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what the outcome is in about a month's time as to the longer term trends.

if i attempt 7 pieces of materia on a piece i would prob load it with lowbie materia for the first 5 pieces then go with better stuff for the last 2

you cant put 7 in a piece
you can put 5

there are 7 types of gear that can be slotted with materia is what it is
