Want to transfer to Balmung

Hello! i plan on transferring to balmung for the sake of RP and
because my server is kind of dead as well. I just need to know a few
things. first I have 3mil+ which items should i buy and resell once i
transfer to get back my gil? AND are queues a thing when trying to
log in? or high population problems? thanks!

Things here change price all the time, however most shards seem to levitate around 30 a piece here so you could try stocking up on those. Weirdly sometimes you see Allagan silver/bronze etc. on the MB at cost, so that's another thing to look at if you haven't.

Queues do exist, though they are often between 5-40 people, and take half a minute at max usually. The high pop is only an issue with zone overcrowding around new xpac times & major patch times, other then that, it's smooth sailing.

I know this is a little late but... My suggestion would have been to just create additional characters, assuming you have that option, and find someone or figure out a way to buy/sell items on the marketboard to trade 1 mil to each of your characters. So like... maybe sell something insignificant like a Table Salt for 1 million gil or something. And then you could just transfer your 3+ characters with at least 1 mil on each of them over to your new server.
