XP rewards from high level roulette.

This post is mainly directed towards the dev team but I'd appreciate community feedback too.

I feel like the xp reward from high level roulette needs boosting. While I understand that there will always be one best dungeon to spam per level for xp. It is nice to have the roulette rewards to break up the grind a bit and add some variety. With low level roulette you get a similar amount of xp to doing a full heavensward dungeon run with a little variation from dungeon to dungeon. With high level roulette we're missing the enemy and boss xp, plus getting a lower bonus due to being closer to the dungeon level. These factors make high level roulette vastly inferior to just running a normal heavensward dungeon. At the moment unless you're a new lv50 player trying to gear up pre-heavensward content, there's pretty much no real reason to ever go in to high level roulette, which is a shame because half of the ARR dungeon content is effectively going to waste.

I'm not saying that high level roulette xp should be outstripping a heavensward dungeon's xp, but I think it'd be a great idea if you could make the XP comparable to low level roulette that high level roulette's are worth doing again.

Thanks for reading, if you agree with this hit "like" so the staff have some idea how much support this idea has.

I feel that one way to improve this is for the high level dungeons to give a small to modest amount of exp upon dungeon completion. Around 30-50k exp perhaps? While not huge, it would add up and give the high level roulette that boost it needs. Would also give more of an incentive for players to help newer players with their first time clears

As I stand looking out from my window, I reminisce about the old days and the many ups and downs of my adventures throughout Eorzea.
It is then that I know achievement.

Even though I wouldn't say no to a higher exp bonus (lol who would ^^), I still do high level roulette everyday because while mobs don't give exp, all the instances are heavily outgeared (even if synced down to i110) and are basically a 15 minute speedrun. It's true the 3.0 dungeons give more exp, but it usually takes a good bit longer to clear them, especially if you kill every mob.

I'd be happy enough, if they adjusted the level sync to iLevel 131 which is the max pre Heavensward.

Sorry for being offtopic, but I'm curious. How did you get to i131 pre HW? I had several jobs at (non crafted) BiS with either zeta or dreadwyrm weapon before 3.0 hit, but non of them were i131, despite having i130 in all slots and an i135 weapon, which was the maximum you could reach before the expansion.

My highest character at the time was i128, the calculation I made was:
    6 left side, i130 = 780
    5 right side, i130 = 650
    2 weapon, i135 = 270
    1700 / 13 = 130.769...

After rounding, 131, was i130 max result?

Ah I see. Well, since the game rounds ilvl down rather than up, yes, the max result was i130.

How much exp do you get from doing a high level roullette? I'm just curious because I considered doing it for my daily leveling routine but wasn't sure if it was worth it and never bothered to try it and see how much exp I would get.

That depends on your level. The higher your job is, the higher Bonus. I can't check right now, but on my 57 blm I had around 250k+ yesterday I think?
