In essence what Final Fantasy 11 uses for its style lock, You choose the gear to style But you can use Different style locks for the same gear.
I hope they can introduce this together with the glamouring from retainers (it is something that YoshiP said they are working on, but I am not exactly sure how it is going to work).
Whatever you call the system DCU uses is great. You get an item, equip it once, it goes to the "Style" tab forever. You can hop on the to the style tab at any time and change up you look with ANY GEAR YOU'VE EVER OWNED.
Yup, this is how Rift's works except you don't even have to equip it. If it lands in your inventory, it gets saved. AND it's account-wide! WildStar's too. Really like those costume systems. @_@ Why must FFXIV feel like it's stuck in the stone age when it comes to QoL and character customization.
BRD and MCH have this same issue. Sure it's great I don't have to spend poetics/law on two different sets of armor, just weapons, but would like my brd to have a different look than my MCH.
If the armor is not unique just get the same piece of armor again And glamour it.
I agree. I personally made a thread about this longer than a year ago. We have yet to receive any form response. Hope we will get it though.

I've boycotted glamours until there's some kind of change to this system, I don't want to hear anything about system limitations because ffxi is a ps2 era game and their glamour system is better than this...
I hate having to sacrifice my DRK and WAR to the generic hellfire set so my PLD can be glamoured as a cool silver knight.
My friend also wanted her MCH to look like an army private but she didn't want it on her BRD so she had to scrap the whole idea. It's just a waste of creativity with glamours.
This game is trying too hard to be like other MMOs when it's not other MMOs. there are plenty out there that let you glamour your gear but there are very few out there that let you have multiple jobs on one character. They can't use systems from single "job" based games for a game that supposedly lets you play any job you want on one character. This problem isn't just limited to glamours either it's a problem with the very core of the game with things like weekly caps which limit you to effectively gearing 1-2 jobs and leaving all the rest in the dust.
