Company quests

I was working my way thorugh the first few quests for the companies. I did the 3 ones to view all the speeches:

An officer and a Wise Man
Burning Man
Their Finest Hour

Then I went and did Know your Enemy in Uldah and the By Fire Reborn to join Uldah. I then say that there was only one quest left to get It Kills with Fire. I remember there bing more quests in the patch notes, so I wen tto have a look and i saw that each city had the following quests:

An Officer and a Wise Man (LL)
Ceruleum Shock (LL)
Till Sea Swallows All (LL)
The Cove (LL)
Saving the Stead Instead (LL)
Kobold and the Beautiful (LL)
It Kills with Fire (Limsa Lominsa)

Their Finest Hour (G)
Appetite for Destruction (G)
Serenity, Purity, Sanctity (G)
Eternal Recurrence (G)
The Pen Is Mightier Than the Spear (G)
It Kills with Fire Gridania)

Burning Man (U)
Know Your Enemy (U)
By Fire Reborn (U)
Prying Eyes (U)
Different Strokes (U)
When Alchemists Cry (U)
It Kills with Fire (Ul'dah)

Because I became an official recruit, does that mean that I can't do any of the other quests? As in If I only did 'Know Your Enemy' in Uldah, could I have done the other ones in the other 2 cities?


If someone sees this who hasn't yet pledged to a company, would they mind testing out and see if you can do all but the final recruitment quest (bold) without having to join? I am just kicking myself if I have missed some accomplishments.

You could have done Ceruleum Shock and Appetite for Destruction, but its too late. Don't worry about the others, they aren't unlocked until you become Private Third Class anyway.

Well like Meow said you basically missed 2 quests, Ceruleum Shock and Appetite for Destruction. Maybe you can redo them at a later time when they allow us to change grand companies.

I needed a little help with An Officer and Wise Man. I can't seem to get this one flagged. The dude in the company hall has an exclamation above his head, I speak to him and can select the quest from the box, but when I go into my journal there is no quest flagged. He tells me to go gather info on the other companies. Can someone let me know what I'm missing, if anything?

You need to complete all quests in other cities up to and including Their Finest Hour from Grid, and Burning Man from Uldah. I used over half of my anima to finish them
