Since when was it the Tanks job to explain fights?

Tanks seem like the worst position to explain most fights, because 95% of fight mechanics for a tank boil down to:
-point it away from everyone
-pop a CD when/before you need it

Because of such simplicity, Tanks can see everything else. DPS most of the time suffer from tunnel vision.
