This is funny, because with Steps being nerfed to hell you don't even need dragonkillers at all unless party DPS is absolutely terrible.

On topic though, it isn't the tanks' job to explain every facet of every fight ever. People who play tanks (well) tend to be comparatively confident though, which I suspect is why many of them do it anyway.
