Dodos did this too! I loved it!Aldgoats used to notice players that were close to them and follow the players, it always made me laugh when I was harvesting and had five goats clustered around me. I would like to see more idle animations from mobs, instead of them forever waiting to be attacked. It wouldn't hurt to have critters running about for atmosphere.![]()

I love this idea. Especially the fish swimming around in the water part. Would be nice to see some random sea shells, starfish, crabs and whatnot on the beaches in areas like Costa and Mist too.

I'd love if there were more wildlife that didn't try to kill you, and not just like random small animals too. Like.. Everything is hostile, why are all the various creatures trying to kill anyone who passes by?
Indeed would love to see more wildlife. I remember in 11 watching the dolphins and whales swim by and standing at the edge of the water fish swimming by. The owl that was in Carpenters Landing was fun as well.
Would also like to see the seasons change, night time sky change a moon cycle. More life besides grinding dungeons, fates and leaves. Safe spots to just hang out and enjoy the scenery would be awesome.

Extra idle animations seems kind of minor, but I could get behind it. On the other hand, in terms of random untargetable critters and things, that also sounds like it would make the game so much more alive, but it would have one slight drawback. You'd have to render these things, and while I doubt either PS4 or high-end computers will have much of a problem, players who are stuck playing on a normal computer set-up will probably be forced to reduce their settings even further, and PS3 probably wouldn't even get the option to see the additional wildlife (Though that would be awesome incentive for those still on the PS3 version of the game to upgrade).
I'd hope that these additional wildlife, if implemented, would have their own toggle so that players on the low-end performance wise don't have to suffer extra lag. This would of course mean that these critters would be purely aesthetic (which should be their only intention when adding background wildlife) and cannot be targetable.

I just want to run into a garden and make all the butterflies scatter while shouting "TAKE WING YE SOULS OF WAR!"
Make it happen SE.

Most enemies in the open world is wild life

Definetly want this. I particularily like the idea of stray dogs in Ul'dah.

I really like this idea, especially the one about fish. The oceans and lakes really do seem dead.
Maybe that's why my retainer always brings me kelp...

They could set it up as a client side thing. Especially if it was untargettable.
You'd be able to set up how much of the wildlife was visible, much like the terrain quality settings. Wouldn't affect the servers as its all client side, wont be hackable either, since its literally just a graphics thing.
