Happy Two-Year Anniversary, Beta Phase 4 Players!

It was on this day two years ago that beta phase four started. For those who don't get the significance, beta phase 4 was in many ways what early access was to Heavensward. Characters made during phase four were kept for the official launch of the game, so today marks the anniversary of many, many of the original 2.0 character creations!

Maybe it doesn't mean much to you guys as it did me, but it felt like something worth celebrating. So here's to my fellow phase four testers. Here's to the next year and the hope that the future is bright!

Wow so long ago. /feels Thanks for this op. The first attempt to recreate 1.0 char but guessing at the feature options chosen, getting a horrible attempt. Feeling sad then making a male miqote. Exploring the new shroud design. Good times. How much of 1.0 is there hidden around and seeming shy. 1.0 I love you. 2.0 I love you too.

It was also when the PS3 version was finally a reality. I was all over that like white on rice, never looked back either in spite of the PC version that had so plagued me till then. Still looking at my PS3 wondering if I should go back despite transferring to the PS4. The PS4 version feels too much like the PC version for my tastes.

i remember all those people ... getting the call out to "go to central shroud and do something" .... and then we all stood there at camp spamming emotes because we couldnt come up with something usefull.

I joined in Phase 3 - the closed PS3/PC beta test, was fun
Although yeah P4 was a big improvement on P3 testing, they added a lot more art assets and textures to PS3 build with it that made the world look and feel more imersive and a lot less basic looking.

I was also a Phase 3 player and it was what convinced me to stop playing DCUO and switch to FFXIV. I saw great things and I am glad this game is getting better and better!

I joined in Phase 3 as well, never having tried an MMO before. I only wanted to test the game out, free of charge, because it was Final Fantasy. There were no plans to actually stick with the game - kinda shocked its been 2 years and I'm still here.

Exactly same with me, only online games I'd played before was C&C lol.
I'd heard about the ambomination that was 1.0 and to be honest was curious to see if the relaunch would work and to see how a massively story driven game like FF could work as a multi-player affair.

Needless to say they sold me on ARR I pre-order the Collectors Edition after like 2 days of P3 testing, and then also orderd the CE of Heavensward when that launched - two years, thousands of hours of playtime and hundreds of Pounds (£) later and I'm still happily playing
