How to spend esoterics [PLD]

I've got 880 esoterics eating a hole in my pocket (955 after roulette tomorrow) and can't decide how to spend them.

At the moment I have 190 gear except wrists/ring/shield (slaying on both accs) and body/legs. I intend to get the Alexander normal legs next, so logically I'd get the esoterics chest. However, it has very high parry. Looking at the gear available I could get the esoterics legs, which would up my current parry rather than increase the number of items with it, but the only body better than my current without parry is the 210.

How should I spend my esoterics, or should I save them and gear up DRK in them instead?

Buy the weapon first, then shield, belt, chest, gloves, hat, accessory of your choice, boots, pants, finish accessories.
Which class you buy for first doesn't really matter beyond which you enjoy more, as balance shifts very frequently in MMOs.

I've already got the weapon forgot to mention that. Is the shield that good? I thought the hive one was better than esoterics?

Your eso wep and your chest are the most important as a tank in current meta. The only upgrade for those are from Savage Alex 4, so theoretically speaking, it would be awhile till you see those drop. You can survive no prob in the 190s easily gained for all other slots and you'd upgrade those first from drops while you progress through the floors.

Weapon is unquestionably the first buy.

After that though, I wouldn't get the shield if you can get hold of the Hive Shield which is pretty much on par with the esoterics one (slightly worse stats but blocks more via sheltron/bulwark on important physical hits). The shield should be one of the last items you upgrade IF you can get the Hive Shield - if you dont see yourself doing Ravana Ex soon though then go ahead and get the eso one.

As for the other items, don't worry about secondary stats really - item level is king right now and you'll end up with loads more skillspeed and parry than you want regardless of what items you have. Only thing I'd say is that the 190 Pants and Boots have fantastic stats so I'd definitely get the Alexander LEgs and upgrade Chest/Hat/Gloves via esoterics before them. I agree with Iagainsti that Chest is the best buy after weapon because it'll last the longest.

Don't get Esoterics Accessories until you've upgraded most of your left side - alex 1/2 Bolts will see you fine with 190 accessories until you're done with your left side. Accessory upgrades arent as efficient in raw stat boost as armor because you're only upgrading one primary stat, and tanks make great use out of strength and vit.

According to your lodestone you have the sword now I'm going to assume you bought it today. So next go 190 legs (and grab the wrist as well), Eso chest and Hive shield.
