I think I remember a blurm about how Eorzeans are debating whether or not Miqo'tes are related to cats, while Miqo'te scholars are say no.

With the exception of one (but then again she's a "princess") all the Au Ra, especially Xaela, we come across all say they were discriminate against. Some even were killed.

Since the Au Ra seem to be very isolationist and stay in Othard I'd say that Eorzeans ... and Garleans are coming to terms with this new race. I remember Higiri saying that Yugiri's people have had it alot worse under Garlean rule. And Yugiri's people (Raen at least) all seem to have pretty high ranks within Doma pre-occupation, so that should say alot about what Garleans think of them

For the most part, Eorzeans consider the Au Ra one of the spoken race ... but such things take time. Especially since all they know about were the 5 Great Spoken Races.
