    Auto-Translation not functioning properly

    Time: Always
    Frequency: Always
    World name: Cerberus
    Character name: Drei Rael
    NPC name: -
    Monster name: -
    Class/Level: Any
    Party or solo: Both
    In-game time: Always
    Area and coordinates: Anywhere
    Steps:
    1. I play on English client.
    2. I see chat from people, who play on Japanese/French/German, and I get their own language as auto-translation on my chat when they use <t> or <item>.
    3. Here's example: "The Dravanian Forelands (18,38) Rank B - Gnath-Kometendrohne" when it should read "Gnath-Cometdrone" on my chat. Several other occasions people have shouted monster's name that appears as a completely different name and people have had to ask what kind of a monster they are announcing.
    4. Another example: Verschlissener Savant-Mantel appears on my chat log, but since it's German, I have no idea what it is until I hover mouse over it to get item information to pop up.

Here's a screenshot of how auto-translation and links currently work and I asked for assistance to show it:

Those links are not auto-translated. The text is generated by the client of whoever posts it.

I don't know how else to call it than auto-translate.

This is also not how the system should work when we have multiple client languages. My English client should be able to show those to me in English instead of the other languages.

Most games do it this way. Even wow. Mouse over tooltips give English translation but chat text is in source language. Got a fc mate using the FR client. We get French links.

How inconvenient it is to try communicate between players when question is about mobs, when someone shouts English otherwise and then the target enemy is written French or German and no one other than French or German knows what they're talking about, like hunt log / hunt bill mobs. We write "Where can I find XYZ mob?" and other language players are like "I'm sorry, I don't know what mob that is" because they have it named ABC or vice versa. If we are supposed to know what other names are in our own client language what's the purpose of the translation in the first place?
