Question about lamp trees in Churning mists (possible spoilers for terrain details)

Just entered Churning Mists for the first time and wow.

Tried to spoiler tag this but in preview mode its not workin.

I wondered if anyone noticed that the white lamp like cotton candy trees that line the walkway/cliff on the left side as you zone in from Mourn, that the trees change color as you stand under them or walk towards them. The one you left behind you changes back to white.

I was enjoying the landscape and I stood there long enough to see the atmospheric changes from day to night. I was standing under that tree you see below and I was delighted to see that it began to glow that purple pink hue as it got dark. Little balls of light come off it and float around it also in the new color. Eventually I noticed I was the standing under the only tree of that color, the others had not changed but glowed white.

At first I wondered if since my Guardian is Rhalgr The Destroyer, it changed to light purple pink like the color of the SMN Bio 2 icon.

I tested it and ran to the next tree on the path and as I walked, the one behind me changed back to white, the one I approached changed too, leaving all the others including the floating orb one in the sky above me white.

Anyone see them change color?

Anyone get a color other than purple pink? if so, what is your guardian and the color you got?

Does the lamp tree that is floating change color when you fly by it?

Can other players see the color you changed the lamp to?

Anyway this area and the soundtrack is awe evoking!

That color is also similar to the traditional color of Mogle Poms as well. I think it has more to do with that and approaching it simply makes it act like a motion sensing light.

I've not payed it any mind but I have noticed they change color when you approach them and glow brighter. But as a son of Thaliak who's color iconology is Royal Blue, It still glowed moogle purple.

In some places, you can even stand near the moogle-carved rocks at just the right angle so the rock looks like a moogle and the glowing tree its pom.

Ah thank you for answers! I was reading too much into it lol. I still think it is cool to have motion sensor trees/lights in the game though.

I will check out that pos you posted on the moogle like rock when I am able to get into the area more. Still unlocked mostly for me.
