    The vault as sch....

Hey all! I'm not sure if I'm doing so.ething wrong or its the tanks but I'm level 57 and it just seems like even with spamming physick and adlo are not enough and don't get me started in that last boss.... I seem to do good but then randomly the tanks hp or a dps's just drops out of nowhere. Any advice yall can give me would be awesome.

Tell the tank to upgrade his gear or use cooldowns and/or tell the DPS to learn to dodge.

Tanks should have level appropriate gear and know how to rotate their cooldowns. Also the Vault in general is kinda tricky for a SCH at level. Make sure to use your fairy and have her on obey so you can manually use her skills. When you use aldo on the tank also use emergency tactics for a boost. Focus target the boss so you're ready when all the AOE damage hits the group.

There is a lot of use of magic damage on that last boss. If you haven't already been doing it make sure to have Eos toss a fey covenant on the party. If I remember correctly you should have emergency tactics by that point. Emergency tactics succor is a nice AoE heal to recover from damage when no one is in immediate danger of dying if multiple people are very low then use indomitability to get out of the danger zone then emergency tactic succor to recover the team to more manageable levels.

The Vault is hard if you're entering it at level 57 with gear from previous levels. Make smart use of your Eos cooldowns, don't worry too much about DPS, and understand that if your party members cannot avoid things in the final boss fight, there's nothing you can do for them.

(You should see what it's like for Astrologians...)

Emergency Tactics is at 58. Scholars that are grinding dungeons for EXP may have it, but not ones running it for the first time.

Drop some shields for the Aoe flames attack he likes to do over and over. forgot the name of it but shield may help.

At 57 I'd reserve Indomitability's CD to no-sell Altar Pyre if you're having difficulty and need to recover instantly. A preemptive Deployment Tactics can also soak most (or all if crit) of one Pyre.

With the shielding, the personal DPS, and the option for strong, instant single-target and AoE heals (read: compensate for sloppy party), SCH has an even better kit for the final boss than the other healers do IMO.

If your party is struggling with trash, it could be a gear or general skill issue.

There are 3 abilities the final boss uses that have cast times you need to watch out for.

    Altar Pyre
The first is Altar Pyre which is when he yells "Sickness must be purged" and does raid-wide damage. My advice is to cast Succor every so often so that the shield is always on people for when he casts Altar Pyre, and use Indominability to heal this. People NEED to be dodging AoEs.

    Something Chains
This one connects two players together (usually it's me as the healer and one of the DPS) and will start dealing damage to them after a few seconds. When you see the cast bar, run away from everyone else. If you break it in time, it deals no damage but the first hit is really weak anyways. It's ok to get hit with the first part of damage from this and SOMETIMES the second but if it gets to the third it usually kills both players, so you need to be on top of this one.

    Some Other Ability
I forget what the last ability is called, but it spreads little fiery AoE circles on the ground. This one also coincides with the stupid horse people walking around which makes it more difficult to dodge, but it NEEDS to be dodged because it actually deals a good amount of damage and in my experience, he hits the tank for a lot of damage after this goes off so you won't really be able to heal up your DPS if they didn't dodge it. Stack with the DPS for this ability so that the circles are more or less overlapping and it's easier to dodge all the circles by running back, then run to a spot where the horses won't hit you and start casting Succor.

It helps to have the camera zoomed out enough to see the edges of the arena for both the first and second bosses.

Ahh I see. I have been using Selena because I always got yelled at when using eos.... I'll try eos next time. And I think the dps kept getting hit with those circle things as well lol

Just properly rotate coodlowns and you can't lose against that boss, no matter how terrible your party is:

Everybody gets low after an altar pyre? Indomitability.
Everybody keeps getting hit by random stuff? Precast a Whispering Dawn, your party is covered for the next 20 seconds.
Whispering Dawn runs out? Cast Fey illumination.
Fey illumination runs out? Fey Covenant.
Still struggling? Virus on boss right before the next Altar Pyre.
    Repeat this process.

As a SCH, you have a zillion of tools to literally go naked at that boss and still dance the manderville eventually. Just use your spells appropriately, don't burn all CDs at once, keep rotating them. Your tank must NOT die. If a Derp DPS takes an AOE + doesn't move with chains + gets hit by statues and dies, it's their own fault for failing 3 mechanics in 3 seconds. What you can't allow is tank dying (and that's entirely in your hands, even if they are bad).
