Poor "not so bright person"So he said just kick me we said no. And I said you will either leave take the penalty or stay and do your role. Or I will report you for harassment he said he'd do the same was fine with me since I did nothing wrong he started a kick on the BLM unfortunately we realized to late it was the BLM thinking it was the WHM. The WHM did it so they could skip the penalty fortunately he couldn't leave because we were in combat ha ha ha. Then a brd joined and since he already used his vote kick he just forced a dc so wed be forced to kick him.
Well I held on to my end and reported the guy for this abuse.
Thank you for the quick and timely reply GM Eresgha.
too bad he didn't know that once the original makeup was changed he could leave at any point without penalty
Is that retarception?
I see a lot of people just log off and hope to be kicked, if its a dps, I usually ask if we want to force him to take the penalty or not. Sometimes we agree to trudge slowly with just 1 dps but I remember not even 5 mins later the dps came back, got pissed then left the group. Was quickly refilled and it went well from there.
you can kick them, or let them sit there while you continue the duty with 3 people.
if you want to play a mind game with them and hope they'll leave then... good luck. the motivation to quit vs. the passion to continue... you'll never win.
There's one way out. Keep moving on without them, especially if its a DPs that's being the stubborn one. By the time you get to the boss, chances are 30 minutes would have passed anyway, then you can give them the kick anyway so they don't get the rewards.

Or how about just kicking them and get someone who actually wants to be there why punish everyone else in the party.
Had this happen the other day and dungeon took way longer to finish then it had to because the other 2 people in the group who were in a premade refused to kick an AFKer who was probably off doing something else anyways.

I had this happen and they just stand around until you kick.
SE needs to add if they haven't fought anything at all up to the 2nd boss their armor breaks 100% then we'll have a reason to kick them.
They stand around AFK waiting for a vote kick because then they circumvent the penalty timer and are able to cherry pick a different group. The best way to prevent this type of behaviour, imo, is to implement a penalty timer on the players who get vote kicked.
Asking/expecting the rest of the party to use their limited vote kick option is selfish.
Then report them kick them and move on, I cant see why you would not give the spot to someone who wants to be there especially DPS with wait times as bad as they are if and if its a healer/ tank AFK you cant do the dungeon at all in most cases so you just sit there doing nothing. They stand around AFK waiting for a vote kick because then they circumvent the penalty timer and are able to cherry pick a different group. How often a day do you votekick someone anyways I dont think I have ever used it more then once in entire day

Na I like my idea break 100% armor if they don't fight up to 2 bosses. It's selfish to stand around and let others do all the work just because the game chose a fight you didn't like. They stand around AFK waiting for a vote kick because then they circumvent the penalty timer and are able to cherry pick a different group. What would breaking their armor do though? They clearly weren't fighting anything anyway if it comes to that and repairing your gear is neither time consuming nor expensive so I can't see how this is in any way a deterrent for douchey behavior.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
