Well sure. It could be a lot of things. I went into a Sohm Al where someone didn't like the healer for whatever reason and threw a fit. I think he was pulling a huge amount, healer couldn't heal the tank, so he tantrum'd it up. New people in Ravana NM, we wiped once because a couple new people couldn't keep up, half the party left (no ask for kicks at least.) If there's a legit reason, sure. But if there's tantrum throwing, then no.

Easy way to stop people from whining that they got something in roulette they didn't want and for you to kick them? Once you've been kicked/have left the duty, your roulette is used up. That's it. Wait til tomorrow for your extra tomes. Don't like it? Oh well. Pull on your big kid pants and deal with it.

this is assuming ppl wont abuse/troll this system causing ppl to lose bonus for the LoLs. maybe a better approach would be that while in a run where you qualify for roulette bonus, leaving gives you the option of taking your penalty OR forfeiting your bonus for the day

If people are worried about using up their own ability to kick people why not let the person who wants to leave use their own vote dismiss on themselves to get out of the dungeon? Simply have it on the same four hour cool down. Unless you want to have control over someone else cool down as well. They are still giving up their ability to kick someone and will face a penalty afterwards if they leave withing that four hour period.

i dont see why they cant do this. saves a lot of grief and only has the same potential for abuse as any other persons 4hr timer. pretty good idea

Maybe I'm too nice - but if I sign up to a dgn I'm there for the long run - unless someone kicks me or we're doing so badly that a vote abandon happens.

For example - last night I was suppose to run stone vigil hard (as I'm still working on my bard's zodiac). Instead I accidentally qued into Stone Vigil NM - didn't notice till I was inside the dgn - and I ran it with the party anyways as I didn't want to leave them without a healer. It took us almost an hour to clear due to the tank wishing to get his exp - which the rest of us (all lv60s) didn't mind, so the 30mins penalty would have been better.

I donno - I just like helping out the community in anyways I can. If you ask to be kicked I will ignore you. If you sit there doing nothing to be kicked - then I'll walk over and sit next to you until you leave >.> If you don't wanna stay then leave and take a break for 30mins or do crafts/hunts or something >.>

I agree with the op, it's an inconsiderate thing to ask to be kicked, even if you are dps.

While it is polite to ask to be kicked, no.

Most of the times people ask to be kicked;
1. after few wipes, they refuse to play cause party isn't going anywhere
2. they have REAL LIFE stuff to do!
3. drama with party member

So no, I'm not using my 4hr cd kick on you even if you ask for it. I'm saving it for trolls, RMTs and AFKs. Plus report them after kick.

We only get the option to kick someone once every 8 hours. You just kicked someone whos wasn't annoying. Next dgn you go into theres a troll and no one can kick him cause we're all on cooldowns for being nice and kicking the random 'nice' person who didn't wish to wait 30mins for entering an instance he didn't like/want.

There are also two other people in your party able to initiate a kick against him if you previously used yours. Let's not pretend people asking to be kicked is such a common occurrence that your entire team will constantly be on vote kick cool down. In fact I've never been in a single group where the entire team was on vote kick cool down. This is more like an extreme exception rather than the rule which kind of adds to the ridiculousness of the argument.
