How in the world is stating that "I am crap" a positive attitude?

Also, funnily enough, I manage and have managed teams of people both in games and in real life. No brick wall ever hit me. People who start by saying that "they are crap" do not make good team players at all, usually.

Semantics. I had to build teams as well, that's not the point.
The point is, it is not up to others to encourage you. If you rely on that, you will fail the moment you are inevitably left alone.
There are people playing games at a competitive level while having severe handicaps. And they are successful. You do not see them writing on the forums they are crap, jokingly or not.

I guess I am simply too cynical to read the OP post like you did.
I still believe that there was no reason to use such derogatory terms against herself. I see that as a clear white knight bait.

But I see your point. We just disagree, which is totally ok.
