Yeah.. my husband doesn't play the game, because it forces grouping. Not only does he have trouble with the control and coordination, but anxiety makes it worse... but he watches my cut scenes and fights =-)

Try using macros. It slows you down by not allowing you to queue and therefore add delays but it's better to play proper but a little bit slower than play like someone who just doesn't care (that's what's most frustrating about getting a 'bad' player in df, they either ignore you or just cuss you out).

Tie OGCD actions you always wanna use up to GCD actions that make sense. Not sure how smn plays these days but using /ac fester, /ac ruin allows you to mash out ruin and use fester as soon as they're up (can maybe even add up rouse). Or /ac bane, /ac miasma 2 (have to be up close). Or /ac eye for an eye and /ac virus (virus on the target, eye for an eye on the targets target). Or /ac rouse, /ac spur, /ac enkindle.

There's more to macros with /hotbary copy or change or set that can also help with manual pet control but I'm not sure you wanna bother since I think you dont do most 8 mans?

For me the game is my escape. I also have several nerve issues and I know of many people that play the game that do as well. Fibro, RA, MS and others. We do the best we can. The point of the game is to have FUN!

You've seemed to find a great way to enjoy FF! That's what's important, not what other people think. I do what I can and I don't worry about what other people think. Not enough time in our lives to worry about it.

Enjoy, get richer, and play as you can. That's what I do and I bet that's what a lot of other people do that don't frequent the message boards.

Also you're not crap!! So stop that! Enjoy your game as you wish. FF has many options.

Have you tried using a gamepad? I don't have MS, but I have my own issues that make playing with a keyboard and mouse extremely difficult- my hands tremble too, my fingers and arms will cramp extremely easily and I have to stop every 15-20 mins to massage them and keep a heatbag nearby. Im prone to making many mistakes with keyboard/mouse these days that I never used to when I was younger but Im able to play just fine with gamepad. Im regularly topping dps, MT in events and solo healed plenty of things in 2.0-3.0. There was no way I would have been able to do that if I played with a keyboard.

If you havent tried it, I know a lot of mmo's have really awful gamepad setups, but XIV's is great and easy to use. Like I said I don't have MS so maybe my experiences would be a lot different to your's, but its worth a try.

Yeah, controller helps since you're only using your index fingers and thumbs. With some in game macro rigging you can even squeeze in more than 4 gcd rotations into just the face buttons without sacrificing the ability to queue them. This is me doing the old drg rotation without including the ogcds with my thumb held on the R trigger and the skills/setbar automatically changing based on what I pressed. Could still apply to non combo classes, I think.

This game lets you do anything you want, so you don't have to do dungeons if you don't want. I'm sure with enough practice you could do tanking. PLD is very beefy and would probably be the easiest for you to get a hold of, as long as you have a patient group(run with your FC members ).

Just practice, more confidence in battle is good. I personally like to solo FATEs to practice my tanking survivability, it is a bit harder in the new world stuff though.

Keep doing the things in game that you enjoy. I am glad the game offers you enough entertainment away from dungeon ,.combat. Don't let anyone tell you to do something you don't enjoy. A whole lot of people in this game like to tell others how to play/enjoy it and that is wrong. Luckily there are good FCs out there to help you out with any content you need. None of this makes you a crap player.
