MNK if you want best DPS melee (drg is kinda middle)
I suggest you try DRG.
It's not too difficult to learn, and you learn some important skills that other DPS need for cross class anyway (Invigorate and Blood for Blood).
Plus you won't have to level another class since the DRG sub class is Marauder which you already have.
Though I suggest you get Pugilist to level 12 for Internal Release, and second wind.
Dragoon is just as fun as warrior and, no not 'middle' dps; dragoon is now fully capable of out dpsing monk as of 3.0 with the blood of the dragon setup. I started as war a while back, leveled drg and was not extremely happy........ until 3.0 when Dragoon (and Warrior for that matter) got boosted and more reliant on skill speed. This is a fast paced job, you have a large rotation , if done properly you can sustain more damage then a monk.
Depends on what you want. Ranged fighter? What type of ranged? Do you prefer melee? What kind of melee?
Be careful going DPS; the community is not friendly to our kind anymore due to the many DPS-checks in the game.

Only at endgame content...and after 60 levels, you better at least know a standard rotation from 2.0, considering how many hours that you spend just to get to 60. The new skills...I admit they really change things up for all DPS classes with the exception of MNK (which still uses the standard 2.0 rotation, excluding off cooldown moves).
A lot of people FATE grind, and would have already had gear from other content, so they would be fresh into 50+.Only at endgame content...and after 60 levels, you better at least know a standard rotation from 2.0, considering how many hours that you spend just to get to 60. Ninja didn't really change either, just Armor Crush and learning the best times to refresh it.
I'd say a melee dps. It helps make you more mindful of them and their positionals when you go back to tanking :P
go blm.....hue hue...
