They aren't expensive but they are very time consuming because of all the mats. I mean this week I would need 45 items at pretty much max quality to cap plus over 300+ crystals. If I only had CUL this would be a huge chore.

Have you actually tried making 45 collectible items in a row, each week? Goldsmith has to make even more then that when the fishing lure is the red scrips option.
