that's true I suppose... At that point though, I think you'd be better off leveling other crafts (can probably make it from 50 -> 60 in less than 100 crafts per, if you're doing leves) and at least then you'll have a better chance of not having to craft as much per week.

Even as a relative casual, I only took a little over a month to cap all crafts at 60.
For one, it is entirely possible to cap a craft using a single type of crafted item.
E.g. Buy lots of cheap mats (logs for Carpenter, ore for BSM, ARM, GSM...etc), pop a 1k gil food to boost craftsmanship and auto-craft yourself to 60.
Lots of leves? You don't always have to craft the highest level item. Just do one, the one that costs the least.
My point? You don't need tons of inventory to level another craft.
SE does not need to cater to people who say "I don't want.". Its your problem/choice.
As for red scrips, it's hard/expensive to cap with 1 craft. The more crafts you have, the easier and cheaper it becomes.
- Heck, I can even wait a couple of days for my favorite recipe to turn up.
Some will view it as a penalty to single craft, some view it as a reward for capping multi-crafts. (Glass half-empty/half-full perception).
Again...Its your problem/choice.

You're definitely not wrong, the issue is SE is trying to force us into a couple main crafts instead of omni-crafting and then they seem to play favorites to different crafting jobs. Just look at ALC, it's true that ALC was barely useful at the launch of 2.0, however moving on from 2.3 they're required in almost every craft you do.

They should all be equal. I leveled my Culinarian before scripts was introduced and was again ignored when they patched it. Looks like the only option I have is quitting, this game is expensive as it is and now I'm being told I have to do everything differently, or do an extra 30 odd crafts more then the rest who do something else. Stupid it is.
Not really. Say I'm trying to do my weaver turn in, the coif of aiming.
I need 2 felt, which requires 2 natron, for a total of 4 crafting actions
Crystal glass, which requires another natron, so 2 crafts.
Grade 1 dex dissolvent, 1 craft
Amp leather, 1 craft
Regis nugget, 1 craft.
So to make it requires 10 actions, for around 50 scripts. To hit cap requires 90 crafting actions.
And I also believe you can't quick syn crystal class either...Not really. Say I'm trying to do my weaver turn in, the coif of aiming.

And that's not dipping into how many and what raw items you need, compared to something like morel salad
And a morel salad without star gives around 10 scrips last I checked, or 45 crafts total. Before the change, something like the coif would only give somewhere around 19. It was very very cost/mateiral inefficent compared to morel salad before the change was implemented.

this. Not all crafts are created equal. Secondary mats can be NQed in literally seconds or even quick synthed while AFK. I still usually get max collectibility with unmelded i150 gear and NQ mats, so 80 of those "90" WVR crafts are utterly trivial. You really can't compare them 1:1 to a collectible craft.
I literally have hundreds of each material pre-made (via quick synth, because who has time to HQ materials?) because it saves space on my retainer.
thus your reasoning about "requiring all of these craft actions" is a moot point to someone that has all of their crafters and gatherers leveled, which I actually did very painlessly (less than an hour or two a day; gathering all of my own materials) over the first month of HW via GC daily turn-ins. And another point that someone brought up: you aren't even doing these "craft actions" because you don't have the respective classes leveled. The only thing I have to say to you is "you're a hypocrite."Not really. Say I'm trying to do my weaver turn in, the coif of aiming.

He's made the best point on this thread so far.

Adamantite barreled culverin: the only time of the week (yes 7 whole days) I'll bother with red crafting scrips as even without a gold star bonus it gives 54 at maximum (trivial) collectible value. To be frank though there's no culinary recipes that even need melds/red scri gear yet as it got no 2 stars so really shouldn't be too bad till 3.1-3.2
