Well see the problem with the genetic hybrid angle is that we have no way of knowing what the child of any interracial couple would look like. Though Hilda looks like a close 50/50 blend, that might not necessarily be true of all biracial children. Genetics is complicated, yo!

... but I doubt they've put that much thought into it, so let's just go with the standard 50/50 split common in fantasy works.
