Half Elezen

I was about my business, doing a quest, when I did my normal routine. I click my first person key to talk to a NPC related to a quest before I talk to the NPC quest initiator. I find it enjoyable, makes it seem conversational, and immersive. In this case, it was the Frightened Maid, in the first Dark Knight quest.


However, this young maid surprised me. Her ears, were far too round. She was of Elezen stature and appearance, but her ears were rounded! I'm a proud Elezen, since before September of 2010, so I know my people! I thought perhaps I was wrong; maybe the facial creation software for the gentler Elezen sex allows for such, so I tried to make her, and my best efforts were not this girl. I can only conclude I've discovered a half-Elezen. Now, I haven't proceeded thus far, but I know there is already one such creature in the game, but she is Hyur featured with Elezen ears, but this lass seems the opposite, what say you lore masters?

Maybe but I suspect she is just an Elezen. As you said we have a Half caste in the game and this maid really doesn't have any particularly Hyurish features. They could have it that she has Hyur in her family tree somewhere but I doubt they would make a special model just for a unnamed NPC.

I tried to recreate the npc in the character creation menu (poor likeness I know) but, if you look at her ears they look really similar to the npc's ears from the quest.

This is what I was talking about. I'm working so I couldn't make it myself, but here it is.

Not not the same there is also another but in the "Old man and the Lake" side quest in Coersthas Western Highland an Elezen (noble?) asks you to convince his uncle, Emont, to live with him.

If you go to go to the cabin in that lake you'll notice that the old man is actually Human

I just wish there were ways to make a character like Hilda... she has the look of a Hyur, but elezen ears.

OP: You'll meet an actual Half-Hyur/Half-Elezen in the main story quest, you should try getting a closer look at her when you get the chance! That NPC though I believe is just a regular Elezen.
