Bug: Mouse controls inverted, massive frame drop when using it to turn camera

Steps:
1: I think it's because I logged out sitting in a chair. I don't know to to fix it.

When I logged in this morning, my mouse camera was completely inverted, both the X and Y axis. I checked the settings and the boxes to invert weren't checked, but checking them returned the camera controls to the un-inverted state. this would be a great jury rig fix if not for the fast that turning the camera with my mouse now results in my frame rate plummeting. if this isn't a bug, please don't just disregard it, I really need this issue resolved. Please tell me how to fix this or move it to the proper forum in which I can get the assistance I so desperately need. It's really hard to play like this.

Update: This error persists on all characters.

Update 2: after resetting system settings and enduring an unskippable cutscene, the frame drop when moving my camera via mouse is still there. I don't think it's a bug.
