they would make the perfect tankI'd like to see these skills.
Sparkle: The vampire fabulously reflects light in the face of enemies, causing blindness
Otherworldly Screams: High pitched screams from enthralled pre-teen girls are summoned into Eorzea from another planet, dealing damage over time and inflicting paralysis.
In all seriousness this seems like a neat class/job
I still want werewolves though. I like werewolves more than vampires. Not Twilight ones though because ew.
So what you want is a Blood Mage?
Don't think it's going to happen. Blood magic is almost always evil or at the very least ill advised. *cough*Bloodborne*cough*
We are born of the blood, made men by the blood, undone by the blood.
Fear the Old Blood.
why not just BLU instead of vampire? vampire technically isn't an FF job, either. BD will carry stuff over from FF, but i don't see the reverse happening.
Yeah yeah, I know, but if you say a vampire, people will think in general, it's an immortal "race" that sucks blood, it's not a job.
I think if SE really gonna create this "vampire" class, it isn't going to be a story copied from Bravely Default, it's going to be a "vampire" in general. We already have bat monsters that sucks life force in the game.
And I think it's gonna be strange that you can be immortal when changing class to what you say "the vampire" and then change again to become a mortal again as a Dragoon or something.
That's what I think, and I think the name shouldn't be a vampire, maybe Stygian or something, because the class is dealing with life force or such.
Vampire would be easier to implement than Blue Mage since Yoshi feels Blue Mage would be hard to add to the game. Just have them learn all their Genome Abilities from quests and boom. Most awesomeness Blue Mage iteration ready to kick butt.
They would go the Bravely Default route faster if they ever decided to implement this Job. Idc what iteration Blue Mage comes, I want the Job but I love Vampire iteration the best. Besides, this is FF. Anything can be turned into a Job. ANYTHING lol.Yeah yeah, I know, but if you say a vampire, people will think in general, it's an immortal "race" that sucks blood, it's not a job.

This. Also, the only reason why Vampire was in BD was because there wasn't a Blue Mage. As for BLU implementation, they could basically run it like how Summoners got their egi pets.
Now if Yoshi-P wanted to really draw from BD, he should look at that Chariot class coming out in Bravely Second. =D
I'll take your vampire idea, and raise it to the villains of the Blue Mage questline!
The only way to hunt a monster, is to become a monster.
Oh and give us whips too. TOOOOOOOOOOOTALLY go for the Castlevania references. Final Fight in an even more demented Huakke Manor? C'mon!
So... Vampire is like Blue Mage... But it's actually not like a Vampire at all; it doesn't suck blood, or die in sunlight, or even sparkle. So... why not just Blue Mage? Why bring "Vampire" into it in the first place?
We already have Dark Knight to appeal to folks looking for edgy dark darkness of the dark. And if Dark Knight just isn't enough, Blue Mage can certainly be edgy and dark without being a Vampire. Just look what they did with it in FFXI! Holy crap!
