Pld need advice for alexander floor 2 (normal).

Ok, So I was able to do the other 3 floor of alexander without problem. But I can't do floor 2 as a Pld. I succeed twice but it was because the other tank did an great job.

Yesterday I tried but failed as I was not able to hold aggro on mobs. So I spent most of my time running around trying to get hate.

I know my rotation, but there is a limit to what flash, Circle of scorn and switching target can provide hate. Everytime I cycle target, I lose aggro on main target (walker or doll). I have 180 ilevel law weapon btw.

What I notice yesterday was that as soon as a pack of mobs appeared, I was running to them but there were already running to others. I was not able to cast a flash before the mobs were already all over the place. So that makes me think, should DPS and healer stop casting, attacking as mobs appears, to let the tank get hate before nuking them?

Shouldn't dps concentrate on priority target instead of always aoe?

How can I keep hate with all that is going on?

Mark targets. This DPS will normally kill in the marking order. Marking seemed to go out of style somewhere around 2.4.
Tanks seemed to have assumed everyone knows the kill order. This is always a poor assumption when DF with PUGs.
Or, DPS got lazy and just disregarded the markings. These DPS deserve to die for taking agro from the non-priority target. Save your Provoke for the DPS that pulls during AoE burst or Healer burst.

And, DPS for the love of god, use your agro reducers as often as possible.

learn the positions that the adds spawn in and be there ready, drop a flash or 2 as soon as they pop, scorn and your good to go, its super easy when you know which waves spawn where, you've gotten weave in flashes during your rotation and keep an eye on the mobs hp in the group your tanking, if you see one other than the main that is low, drop an halone on it then switch back to the main, pld tanking is super easy

    STR accessories.

    Use FoF often.

    More Flash.

More raid awareness of what everyone's attacking/what you're losing hate on.

All you can do, really. You'll get the hang of it the more you do it.

As Spooky said. Str is gonna help a ton. Theres no real reason to wear Vit gear in Alex(Normal).

Tanks usually split the spawns North / South. A few runs and you'll start to pick up where the MoBs are spawning at and you'll be ready for them. Just make sure your grabbing all the mobs in your area. I normally pull everything together for AoE. This can get abit sloppy with tank aggro (tanks using AoE threat attacks and mobs poping back and forth between tanks) but its very rare to lose anything to DPS / Healers.

Some MoBs you do wanna keep apart though, Dolls / Hard's b/c thier debuffs in combo can kinda hurt

Best advice, run it more and more and you'll start to learn the spawn points and you'll be right there waiting !

their most likely running to same person who probably takes off running to avoid being hit[ usually healers] ( Kite the tanks! ) think of it like shooting a moving a target, you dont aim at where the target currently is but where its going to be. intercept the path and start using flash mobs should be hit as they run through if done correctly

So that makes me think, should DPS and healer stop casting, attacking as mobs appears, to let the tank get hate before nuking them?
    nah

typically ill indicate which area of the rooms ill pick up. and then pull those to where the current mobs are currently being killed. so knowing when and where to expect mobs to appear helps alot. this will come with more experiance

Are the mobs running as soon as they appear? Might be some lag issue as for me they stay still a little bit then move. Also do you combine fof with cos? If yes good! If no then do so as fof just didn't boost the initial damage of SOC but also the dot damfe it dose as well.
